Building our community!
The Township of Champlain By-law Enforcement Department is a public service responsible for the enforcement of municipal by-laws within our community. This service is aimed at ensuring that all persons, above all their health and safety, are protected and respected and their properties maintained as per the municipal regulations provided, preserving the quality of life that each citizen is entitled to.
All complaints and violations are investigated and are dealt with
confidentially. In most cases, warnings and recommendations solve the problems. Reoccurring infractions however are dealt with by issuing official offence notices, sometimes by issuing fines and, in rare situations, by summons to appear in Court.
Should you wish to report a by-law infraction, or what seems to you as such, particularly in regards to fire, safety or health hazards or nuisance, you may contact us directly by calling our office at: 613-675-4727.
