All construction, renovation, demolition of buildings and structures in the Township of Champlain require a permit to be issued by Mr. Jacques Gauthier.

He and the municipal Building Inspector must inspect all construction and renovation works performed within the Township to ensure that the standards set out in the Ontario Building Code and other pertinent municipal by-laws are respected.

A work order will be issued when a permit has not been obtained for any construction already undertaken or partially completed.

The By-law Enforcement Service investigates all complaints received pertaining to non-compliance with any regulatory municipal by-laws such as animal control, fencing of swimming pools and permits for fire, garage sales, etc.
