Cassburn Cemetery

In 1804, Seigneur Nathaniel Treadwell conveyed to the public a tract of land to be known as the Cassburn Cemetary. On the accompanying land would be a school and a church. Graves of the original settlers (Marston, Cass, Allen, Kellogg and others) and generations of the descendents are marked by Memorial Stones in this location. Many families have more than five (5) generations in this final resting place. In 2002 a calumbarium was established for the ashes of the deceased as an added option.

Church and school on premises will be open to the public.
