948 Pleasant Corner Road East, Vankleek Hill, ONT. K0B 1R0, (613)-678-3003
WARD 2

L'Orignal is our outdoor recreational centre. Our public beach is a very popular place where you swim in the Ottawa River or play in the sand with the kids.

Reserve a site at our municipal waterfront campground next to the beach or moor your boat at the L'Orignal marina where you can enjoy the hospitality of the local boaters.

The magnificent sunsets from this location are not to be missed! Stroll along King Street and view the beautiful stone and brick homes, the century old churches and of course the courthouse which was recently restored by a local artisan.

A bicycle ride along the Front Road West path in the autumn is a very special time to catch the festival of colours in the Laurentian mountains. The reflection of colours on the Ottawa River is a view of Mother Nature at her peak, and you can almost reach out and touch the mountains, they are that close!

The United Counties of Prescott and Russell and the County Court are established in this ward and, until several years ago, so was the oldest jail in Ontario.

The four residential subdivisions and the vacant light industrial lands along County Road 17 offer many options for individuals looking for an area to re-locate their industrial/commercial and personal interests.
