TAKE NOTICE that the Council of The Corporation of the Township of Champlain will hold the following special meetings at the Township Office, 948 Pleasant Corner Road East:

• December 3, 2018 at 7:00 p.m. for the swearing in ceremony of the newly elected Council.
• December 5, 2018 at 4:00 p.m. to discuss strategies, vision and priorities. (This meeting will be preceded by a bus tour of the Township for the newly elected Council.)

Notice to property owners along High Street ( Highway 34)

NOTICE TO PROPERTY OWNERS ALONG HIGH STREET (HIGHWAY 34)

This notice is to update you on the progress and other important matters related to the reconstruction of High Street (Highway 34) in Vankleek Hill.

Schedule & Completion Date 

The project was initially scheduled to be completed in mid-November, however it is quite apparent that this completion date will not be met as much work remains to be done.

Public Notice: Gravel and paving south of Russel Street

The contractor will be placing gravel and paving south of Russell Street early next week, tentatively Monday and Tuesday if the weather is decent enough. During these operations, flag persons will be posted at Aberdeen Rd and at Pendleton St to divert away the "non-local" traffic, for safety reasons. The flag persons will allow ONLY local traffic, so let them know you need to get through, and please drive slowly.

Closure of Hamil Street at the intersection of High Street and Hamil Street

Please be advised that as of part of Highway 34 /Connecting Link Project, Hamil Street will be closed this afternoon at the intersection of High Street and Hamil Street for approximately 2 weeks in order to facilitate the underground construction.

Hamil Street will still be accessible from Kirk Lane and Union Street but traffic will not be able to enter or exit from Hamil Street to High Street.

All detour and construction areas will be marked with barricades and detour signs.

Intersection closures on High Street

Champlain, October 12th, 2018 - Please be advised that as of part of Highway 34 / Connecting Link Project, we will be closing the following intersections on High Street.

As of today, Wall Street will be closed at the intersection of High Street and Wall Street for a short duration to facilitate construction. We hope to have it reopened by the middle of next week and there will be no entering or exiting at these locations during construction.
