For over 10 years, the Champlain Library has been providing children with a new book at Christmas through the “Book on Every Bed” campaign.
The Library is looking for donations of new books so that children whose families are recipients of Christmas baskets from the Vankleek Hill and L’Orignal Food Banks will wake up Christmas morning with a book on his or her bed.

Township of Champlain, November 17, 2022 – The Township of Champlain’s newly elected Council held its inaugural meeting Tuesday, November 15 at the Council Chambers of Champlain Township. The Township of Champlain Receives a Major Donation of $60,000 From the Knights of Columbus of L’Orignal St-Jean Baptiste

The 2022 Champlain Remembrance Day Ceremonies will be conducted at L'Orignal Cenotaph in L'Orignal Park at 11 a.m. and at Vankleek Hill Cenotaph in Town Square Park at 2:00 p.m. on November 6, 2022, thanks to Hawkesbury Legion.
The importance of a live ceremony honouring our Veterans and their sacrifices is paramount. As so many other commemorations have been cancelled or delayed by the pandemic, paying homage to past sacrifices and before the eyes of those that served is more important now...

Township of Champlain, October 26, 2022 - As of Saturday, October 29, the municipal landfill, located at 1897 Cassburn Road, will be open to the public on its regular schedule, Saturdays from 9 a.m. to noon until the end of November and will reopen on May 6, 2023. Our permit from the Ministry of Environment, Conservation and Parks does not allow us to operate the landfill between the months of December and April.Hours of Operation 2022
