STEPHENS STREET & ST. DENIS STREET RECONSTRUCTION
This notice is to advise you that Cornwall Gravel Co. Ltd. will soon be reconstructing Stephens Street and St. Denis Street. Construction is expected to start in mid-May and end in October.
EVB Engineering will be representing Champlain Township throughout the project.
More specifically, the project will include:
- Full depth reconstruction of both streets and concrete curbs,
- Localized repairs to the existing storm sewers, sanitary sewers & laterals,

Champlain, March 10, 2021 — On March 11, the Township of Champlain will lower its flags to half-mast for the National Day of Observance of COVID-19. At 1:00 p.m., the Township invites all citizens to observe a minute of silence to honour the victims.

Champlain Township Public Library Building Condition

Champlain, February 24, 2021 – In 1984, the Township took ownership of the building at 94 Main Street East, now known as the Champlain Public Library, originally built in 1856. Restoration work has been done over the years and masonry work was completed to the east side of the building’s exterior wall in 2019. The Township’s asset management plan requires an assessment of all its buildings by July 2023. Consequently, the Township mandated an engineering firm to assess the condition of the building.

A 2021 Budget Focused on Roads and Economic Development
Champlain, February 10, 2021 – The Township of Champlain’s 2021 budget has been approved. On January 14, 2021, council voted to accept an investment of $6,078,660 in capital projects and $14,490,820 through the operating budget that provides the day-to-day delivery of services and programs to Champlain residents.
