Notice of Special In-Camera Meeting - November 25, 2024

The Council of the Township of Champlain will hold a Special In-Camera meeting on November 25, 2024 at 1:30 p.m. at the Champlain Town Hall.
According to the Municipal Act, 2001, Section 239, "A meeting or part of a meeting may be closed to the public " if the subject matter being considered is in the list of exceptions of Section 239.
The agenda will be posted on the Agendas and Minutes webpage prior to the meeting.
2024 Remembrance Day Ceremonies

The 2024 Champlain Remembrance Day Ceremonies will be conducted at L'Orignal Cenotaph in L'Orignal Park at 11 a.m. and at Vankleek Hill Cenotaph in Town Square Park at 2:00 p.m. on November 10, 2024, thanks to the Hawkesbury Legion.
At 11:00 a.m. on the 11th day of the 11th month, a moment of silence will be observed to honour all who have fallen and acknowledge those who have served for our freedom. Lest we forget.

Champlain Township invites all residents to attend the Fire & Emergency Services Open House on Wednesday, October 9, from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m.. The event will take place at both the Vankleek Hill Fire Hall (11 Main Street East, Vankleek Hill) and the L'Orignal Fire Hall (10 Elgin Street, L’Orignal).

September 23, 2024, Township of Champlain – Last Wednesday evening, nearly 200 people took to the streets of L’Orignal in a show of solidarity and strength to march against the sexual abuse of women and girls. Great news! Champlain Township is introducing a new phone system, and starting September 24, only one phone number is needed for all municipal buildings and departments. Whether calling Town Hall, the Vankleek Hill Community Centre, or the L'Orignal Office (Building, By-Laws, and Fire Departments), simply dial 613-678-3003. For emergencies, dial 9-1-1.
