UPDATE # 4 ON RISK OF FLOODING
April 21, 10:30 a.m.

Champlain, April 21, 2019. - Champlain Township is providing an update on the risk of flooding.

The Township of Champlain wants to reassure the population: the water level has risen slightly, but it is relatively stable, there is nothing alarming. Municipal crews are closely monitoring the entire territory.

Sandbags were distributed to about twenty houses. We have 3,000 sandbags ready and a large number of bags and sand in reserve.

NEW UPDATE # 3 ON RISK OF FLOODING.
April 20, 2019 – 13:15 p.m.


Champlain, April 20, 2019. – The Champlain Township would like to inform its residents that since the water levels are not rising as fast as 2017, the Mayor Normand Riopel has not declared a state of emergency at this point.

Municipal staff is working around the clock monitoring the areas that could be affected by flooding and are in communication with it most vulnerable residents.

NEW UPDATE ON RISK OF FLOODING.
April 20, 2019 – 10:15 a.m.


Champlain, April 20, 2019. – Champlain Township is providing an update on the risk of flooding. Municipal crews are closely monitoring the entire territory.

IMPORTANT: Champlain has enough sandbags and sand for all residents who might by affected by the flooding but the bags will be given out by priority, only after a site survey has been done by the municipality and only to protect houses.
