Boat Launch Closed on Canada Day

For safety reasons, the municipal boat launch at L'Orignal Park will be closed all day on July 1st for Canada Day celebrations. Boaters can use the boat ramp at Riverest marina. Visit the Canada Day Page for the full event program.
Assistance to Residents - Power Outages May 21-22

Champlain residents who have damages or need assistance due to the severe weather event that occured earlier today can go to the L'Orignal fire station, volunteer firefighters are there to assist residents (10 Elgin Street, L'Orignal).

Township of Champlain, June 29, 2022 - Mayor Normand Riopel and members of Council are proud to recognize twelve young residents with a $200 scholarship for academic achievement. King Street Project Begins

This notice is to advise you that Cornwall Gravel Co. Ltd. will be reconstructing King Street/Front Road West (County Road 12) from John Street to Dufour Street. EVB Engineering will be representing Champlain Township throughout the project. Construction will be phased as discussed below.

Construction Has Begun In Miner Park!

Champlain, May 18, 2022 - In 2021, the Parks and Recreation Department had planned to install a new playground in Miner Park. Unfortunately, due to the pandemic and the delays in the delivery of supplies, the project kept getting pushed back.
Finally, Champlain Township is pleased to announce that work began on May 18th and will last for a few weeks. The Township is asking for the cooperation of all families to avoid going to the park for safety reasons.
