PUBLIC NOTICE - Coronavirus (COVID-19): PREVENTION MEASURES

Champlain Township – Monday March 16th, 2020: In the current situation, the Township of Champlain is multiplying its prevention measures by closing access to the Town Hall to the public as of tomorrow Tuesday March 17th, 2020. Access is restricted to the employees.

To make a payment, use our secure outside dropbox or consult your banking institution.

Note that access to the Building Department will be limited for health and safety reason....

COVID-19 Prevent potential widespread

After direction from the Eastern Ontario Health Unit, Champlain arena and community centre are CLOSED beginning Saturday March 14th 2020 until further notice.

This is to help prevent the spread of the COVID-19 outbreak in our recreational facilities and to protect our residents and users of our facilities.

• Hall rentals
• Ice rental
• Public Skating

Up to now, Champlain Library remains open. Extra cleaning and disinfecting...

COVID-19 Information

The Township of Champlain is closely monitoring the COVID-19 outbreak, and is always in discussion with the Eastern Ontario Health Unit.

Medical information and reports are available from the Eastern Ontario Health Unit website.

New Municipal Office Schedule

Municipal Office will close at 4 p.m. Monday to Thursday and at 3:30 p.m. on Friday

The Township of Champlain is taking preventative measures against coronavirus (COVID-19) by implementing additional sanitation practices at the municipal office.

Please note that the municipal office will close every day at 4 p.m. for an indefinite period so members of each department clean and sanitize the office to protect municipal employees and the community.

REGION  BY THE MEDICAL OFFICER OF HEALTH, ISSUED FRIDAY, MARCH 13, 2020 AS PART OF OUR COLLECTIVE PUBLIC HEALTH MEASURES TO CONTAIN AND PREVENT POTENTIAL WIDESPREAD COMMUNITY ACTIVITY OF THE COVID-19 VIRUS, I, DR. PAUL ROUMELIOTIS, MEDICAL OFFICER OF HEALTH, DIRECT ALL EOHU REGION MUNICIPALITIES TO:

1. Close all community/sports complexes to the public until April 5, 2020.

2. Maintain municipal libraries open...
