Fire ban amended

FIRE BAN IN EFFECT IN CHAMPLAIN TOWNSHIP
AMENDED
April 14, 2020

In order to ensure public safety and well-being during the evolving COVID-19 outbreak, the Township of Champlain has issued a ban on open air fires in the Township of Champlain and will not be issuing fire permits until further notice. CAMP FIRES and BURNING IN A CONTAINER are permitted.

Update: Collections

Due to COVID-19 and in consideration for the health and safety of staff and residents, the collection of household hazardous waste and the spring garbage collection have been postponed until further notice.

For these same reasons, the landfill remains closed until further notice. We know this can pose an inconvenience to some, but remember that it is temporary due to exceptional circumstances. Covid-19 Parks are closed

All recreational and sports facilities are closed until further notice.

Further to local restrictions introduced, the Province of Ontario has issued an emergency order under the Emergency Management and Civil Protection Act to close all outdoor recreational amenities.
