The Highway 417 eastbound on/off ramps at the Highway 34 interchange will be closed on the nights of August 26th and 27th. There will be individuals on site to direct traffic during the closures of the ramp. The schedule of construction will be as follows:
August 26th 9:00 pm
Close the eastbound on/off ramps
August 26th 9:00 pm – August 27th 6:00 am:
Complete the milling of the eastbound on/off ramps
Complete the paving of the eastbound off ramp at the Highway 34 interchange

August 9, 2019 - UPDATE on Highway 34 south reconstruction
- Paving of High Street is starting today August 9 from the South end of VKH going North to approximately Hamil Street, weather permitting.
- Sunday, from 5 p.m. to 5 a.m. the intersection of High Street and Main Street will be prepared for paving on Monday night.
- Monday, 10 p.m.: paving of High Street. There will be some traffic disruptions and noise for the 2 nights of work.

Champlain Township – August 2, 2019 – The Township of Champlain wishes to notify residents that its municipal offices, located at 948 Pleasant Corner East, Vankleek Hill and 925 County Road 17, L’Orignal will be closed on Monday August 5, 2019 for the Civic Holiday.
Also please take note of the following information:
- Daycare services – Closed
- Champlain Library - Closed
- Garbage collection – Will be collected as usual
- Recycling collection – No collection on August 5
