THE HEALTH UNIT WILL VISIT TODAY DIFFERENT SITES IN THE FLOOD ZONE Champlain, May 1st, 2019 – A nurse practitioner is working today from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. in Champlain (L’Orignal sector). She is in an ambulance and working with a community paramedic. They will visit different sites in the flood zone. The nurse practitioner can give tetanos vaccine to people who request them. NEW UPDATE ON RISK OF FLOODING.

Champlain, April 28, 2019, 9:30 a.m.– Champlain Township is providing an update on the risk of flooding.

The water level has only slightly risen during the night; there is no cause for immediate concern. We have a large amount of sandbags ready to adjust to any change in the situation. We will not call for a solidarity blitz to fill sandbags today. Many thanks to all the volunteers who filled sandbags yesterday.

Municipal crews are closely monitoring the entire territory...

Champlain, April 27, 2019, 7:30 p.m.– Champlain Township is providing an update on the risk of flooding.

The Township of Champlain wants to reassure the population that although the water level has risen, there is no cause for immediate concern. We have a large amount of sandbags ready to adjust to any change in the situation.
