The Vankleek Hill Industrial Park is located on the eastern edge of the former Town of Vankleek Hill, at the heart of Champlain Township. Just 8 km to the north lies Hawkesbury, a major regional center with a population of about 11,000. This predominantly rural area is situated 70 km east of Ottawa and benefits from a strong agricultural base supported by numerous successful farms.
Positioned north of County Road 10, the industrial park occupies former railway lands. It enjoys a strategic location: 5 km from Highway 417, 1 km from Highway 34, and 11 km from the interprovincial bridge linking Ontario and Quebec at Hawkesbury. The industrial zone spans a total of 140 acres. Surrounding lands to the north, south, and east are primarily agricultural or rural residential, while the boundary of Vankleek Hill village lies immediately to the west.
The Vankleek Hill Industrial Park is part of the Commercial and Industrial Policy Area of the United Counties of Prescott and Russell. It represents a natural extension of the community’s historic industrial activities and is close to former sites such as forges, the railway station, grain elevators, and sawmills. Over the past fifteen years, the park has experienced significant growth in agriculture and agri-food processing.
The concentration of agri-tourism enterprises has helped attract a growing number of visitors, as operators tend to cluster in the same area. Located near the main street, the industrial park serves as a welcoming destination, valued both for its historic character and its vibrant economic activity.
