COVID-19 UPDATE JULY 27, 2020

The Municipal Daycare Service has put into action its plan for safety of all that includes staff training, the implementation of COVID-19 protocols, and the organization of spaces so that they are safe for children and employees.

The Municipal daycare in Vankleek Hill opened on July 6th 2020. The daycare in L’Orignal opened on July 27th. Daycares are currently full. Should the Ministry allow for more spots in the future, updates will be posted here.

COVID-19 UPDATE JUNE 25, 2020

The Municipal Daycare Service has put into action its reopening plan that includes staff training, the implementation of COVID-19 protocols, and the organization of spaces so that they are safe for children and employees.

The Municipal daycare will therefore reopen on July 6th 2020. Because they are limited in space, they offered services to those already enrolled, to essential workers and those who work full-time and/or outside the home. The Vankleek Hill daycare is full. Should the Ministry allow for more spots in Phase 3, updates will be posted here.

If your child is starting on July 6th, an email will be sent to you shortly with more information.

COVID-19 UPDATE JUNE 11, 2020

The Ontario Government announced on Tuesday, June 9th that daycares can reopen while following strict guidelines.  The Municipal Daycare Service has put into action its reopening plan that includes staff training, the implementation of COVID-19 protocols, and the organization of  spaces so that they are safe for children and employees.

The Municipal daycare will therefore reopen in a few weeks and the exact date will be announced soon.

COVID-19 UPDATE JUNE 9, 2020

Following Mr. Ford's announcement today on June 9, we are assessing the situation. Although daycares can officially open on Friday June 12, the precautionary measures must be further studied and then set out and approved before allowing reopening. The safety of the children and the staff is our priority. We are working diligently on this file. Visit our Daycare Facebook page, the Township Facebook page or subscribe to this page for updates.
