Welcome to the Township of Champlain!

Conveniently located in the Prescott-Russell area, approximately one hour drive from Montreal, Cornwall and Ottawa, is the beautiful Township of Champlain.

In 1998, the Township of Champlain was formed by the merger of the Townships of West Hawkesbury, Longueuil, Vankleek Hill and L'Orignal. Champlain is recognized for its agriculture, commercial and industrial activities, special events and numerous festivals. The Township of Champlain has a lot to offer to entrepreneurs, families and visitors alike.

Known as the Gingerbread Capital of Ontario, Vankleek Hill is one of the most charming villages, with unique  architecture inspired by the Victorian era.

Here, you will find:

  • Specialized shops
  • And much more
  • Cafes, bistros and restaurants

Vankleek Hill also offers an easily accessible industrial park within short distance of major urban centers. Some industrial lands, ready to be developed, are still available at very competitive prices.
