
Champlain, December 1, 2024 - The following schedule changes will be in place during the upcoming holiday season from December 23, 2024 to January 3, 2025.
Champlain Municipal Offices
Municipal offices and Town Hall will close on Tuesday, December 24 at noon and will reopen on Thursday, January 2. Please note that the online request service and social media messaging will also be suspended during this period.
Garbage and Recycling Regular Collection
No collection services will take place on Wednesday, December 25, 2024. Regular waste and recycling collection is postponed on Thursday, December 26, 2024.

Natural Christmas Trees Collection
Natural trees will be collected during the week of January 6.
Place your Christmas tree no later than 7 a.m. on the Monday. No vehicle will return to an area if pickup has already occurred. Ensure trees are behind the curb and not in the path of the snowplows.
- Remove all decorations from the Christmas tree.
- Do not place the tree in a plastic bag.
- Place the tree with the base facing the street.
- Make sure the tree is not covered in snow and is not obstructing the sidewalk.
- When snow is expected, make sure the Christmas tree is not obstructing the road to facilitate loading.
Holiday Shinny Hockey and Public Skating
From December 23 to January 2, the Parks and Recreation Department is offering a lot of FREE public skating and shinny hockey. Let's spend the energy from the holiday sugar high! To view the schedule, please visit our calendar.
Winter Parking Restrictions
Are you expecting guests over the holidays? Make sure you have enough spaces in your parking lot to avoid unpleasant surprises.
- In L'Orignal and Vankleek Hill, overnight parking is prohibited between midnight and 7 a.m. from October 31 to March 31.
- In Longueuil and West Hawkesbury, parking on the street is prohibited at all times from October 31 to March 31.
