Champlain Food Drive

Once again is it time for the Champlain Holiday Food Drive. The food and money collected through this effort is always a vital component of our efforts to fight hunger and feed hope. Thank you for your support for the drive either through your donations or through the efforts of the local business partners throughout the township who support our local Food Drive.

L'Orignal Food Drive

There will be no door-to-door collection. People can bring their non-perishable foods and money donations at the designated areasThanks to L'Orignal Volunteer Firefighters Association and Conseil 6452 Saint-Jean-Baptiste Knights of Columbus.

Due to changing needs, L'Orignal Food Bank does need more cash donations. Donate cash or cheques payable to L'Orignal Food Bank with notation Food Drive. Bring your monetary donations to the Fire Hall or mail it directly to the Food Bank (135-C Longueuil Street, PO Box 330, L'Orignal, ON, K0B 1K0). Official receipts will be issued for all donations of $20 and more.

Even those who do not typically use Food Bank services throughout the year are welcome to make a request during the holiday season. This additional support is available to help families enjoy the Christmas and New Year festivities. To take advantage of this assistance, individuals can reach out the Food Bank at 613-675-1999 or coordo@balorignal.com.

Vankleek Hill Food Drive

The Vankleek Hill Holiday 2024 Food Drive will take place on Saturday, November 23, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Vankleek Hill Foodland on Highway 34.

If you're unable to make it to the Food Drive at Foodland, you can still contribute! Food and cash donations are welcome at the Thrift Store during their business hours (124 Main St E, Vankleek Hill, ON, K0B 1R0):

  • Monday, Wednesday, Friday, Saturday: 1 p.m. to 4 p.m.
  • Wednesday evening: 5 p.m. to 7 p.m.

Those in need of a holiday basket must call and register to the Vankleek Hill Food Bank at 613-678-8119 no later than Tuesday, November 26, 2024.
