Fire ban amended

FIRE BAN IN EFFECT IN CHAMPLAIN TOWNSHIP
AMENDED
April 14, 2020

In order to ensure public safety and well-being during the evolving COVID-19 outbreak, the Township of Champlain has issued a ban on open air fires in the Township of Champlain and will not be issuing fire permits until further notice. CAMP FIRES and BURNING IN A CONTAINER are permitted.

This is a proactive action to reduce the number of preventable human-caused fires and to limit non-essential calls for service during the COVID-19 outbreak to help ensure that staff is available and healthy when emergencies occur.

Thank you for your understanding.
