Notice: Fire Hydrant flushing

Please be advised that as of Tuesday, May 19, 2020 the Ontario Clean Water Agency, as part of their regular spring maintenance, will begin flushing fire hydrants throughout the Villages of Vankleek Hill, L’Orignal and Laurentian Park.

This procedure ensures proper operation of the fire hydrants and helps remove accumulated rust from the watermain. Consequently, this could result in a temporary drop in pressure or possible water discoloration (slight reddish colour) which can be cleared up by running a cold water tap for a short period of time.
