Vankleek Hill Arena Reopening and Be More Active Program

Arena Reopening

The Township of Champlain is thrilled to announce the official reopening of the Vankleek Hill Arena for the 2024-2025 indoor ice season! After months of preparation, the arena is ready to welcome skaters, hockey players, and families back to the ice. Whether you're a seasoned player or simply looking for a fun and healthy way to enjoy the colder months, our arena has something for everyone. We encourage residents to come out and experience the excitement of skating and hockey in our beautiful facility.

To ensure a great experience, Champlain Township is offering a variety of free public skating and pick-up hockey time slots each week, perfect for families, friends, and sports enthusiasts to come together for some recreational fun. The schedule for public skating and hockey is available on our website. Simply visit www.champlain.ca/calendar and apply the Arena Schedule filter on the left to find available time slots for skating or pick-up hockey. If you're looking to reserve the ice for a private event or group activity, bookings can be made by contacting us at inforecreation@champlain.ca.

Be More Active Is Back

In addition to the excitement of ice season, we are also pleased to announce the return of our popular Be More Active program! Designed to help residents stay active and engaged, the Be More Active program is a great way to kick off the fall season with health and wellness in mind. The fall session will run from October 7 to December 5, offering a variety of classes suitable for all fitness levels. Whether you're looking to improve your strength, flexibility, or general fitness, the program has something to offer.

Registration for the fall session opens on September 18, and we encourage everyone to sign up early to secure their spot. You can register by sending an email to inforecreation@champlain.ca or by calling 613-678-3003. Classes will take place at two convenient locations: the Vankleek Hill Community Hall and L'Orignal Chalet Abri, ensuring residents from all areas have access to this great opportunity.
