Champlain Township, February 4, 2025 – A provincial general election has been called in Ontario, with election day set for February 27. Eligible voters are encouraged to confirm, update, or add their information to the Register of Voters by February 17 to receive a voter information card in the mail with details on when and where to vote.
Who Should Register?
- Ontario residents who need to confirm or update their name and home address.
- Voters temporarily living outside Ontario who may qualify for the Register of Absentee Voters.
- 16- and 17-year-olds residing in Ontario who can register in the Ontario Register of Future Voters to be automatically added when they turn 18.
Voters can also request to:
- Remove a property they no longer own or rent.
- Remove a deceased person from the Register.
- Check the status of a previous request.
Property Owners and Tenants
Individuals who own or rent property in Ontario other than their primary residence may be eligible to vote in multiple local elections. To add a property to the Register, proof of ownership or tenancy and one piece of ID are required.
