Professional Experiences
Mr. Roy is a human resources management professional with a strong background in business administration and corporate management. He was the Executive Director of the Prescott Russell Employment Services Centre for almost 30 years.
Social and Municipal Involvement
Elected for the first time in 2018, Mr. Roy is now serving his second term as a Councillor for L'Orignal.
During his professional career, Mr. Roy has been involved in various community initiatives and groups:
- Member of the Chambers of Commerce of the Town of Hawkesbury and City of Clarence-Rockland;
- Leader in the establishment of the Prescott-Russell recreational trail;
- Leader in the establishment of the Hawkesbury bike club;
- Member and Secretary-Treasurer of the Economic Development Corporation of the Town of Hawkesbury; and
- Member and Secretary-Treasurer of the Hawkesbury General Hospital Board of Directors.
Priorities for the Next Four Years
- Ensure that the best qualified person fills the position of Chief Administrative Officer.
- Contribute to the Park and Recreation Master Plan; and work towards the improvement of L'Orignal's facilities, including the parks, marina and campground.
- Continue to ensure a healthy management of public funds by maintaining a quality of services within an acceptable tax rate for all taxpayers
