Council meetings provide residents with an opportunity to stay informed about municipal decisions, projects, policies, and initiatives affecting the Township of Champlain. Regular Council and Committee of the Whole meetings are open to the public and form an important part of transparent and accountable local government.
2026 Approved Council Meeting Schedules
Council adopts an annual meeting schedule that identifies the dates of Regular Council Meetings and Committee of the Whole Meetings.
The schedules below are provided for reference and are subject to change. Any amendments to the approved meeting schedule will be communicated in accordance with the Township's public notice requirements.

Use the meeting calendar below to view upcoming and past Council and Committee meetings. The calendar can be displayed in either Calendar View or List View, allowing you to browse meetings in the format that works best for you.
To access meeting information, including agendas, minutes, reports, and supporting documents, simply select the agenda or minutes for the meeting you wish to view.

Regular Council Meetings and Committee of the Whole Meetings are streamed live and available for viewing on the Township of Champlain's YouTube channel.

Meeting agendas and minutes from June 1, 2021, to June 2026 are available through the Township's EScribe platform. To obtain agendas or minutes from meetings held before June 1, 2021, please contact the Clerk's Office.
Presenting to Council
Residents, businesses, community groups, and organizations may request to address Council as a delegation during a Regular Council Meeting.
Requests must be submitted in writing to the Clerk at least 7 days prior to the meeting date. The request must include the name of the individual, organization, or group, contact information, the topic or matter to be discussed, and the name of the person who will address Council.
Approved delegations will be included on the meeting agenda, and the Clerk Office will advise delegates of the approximate time they will be heard.
Delegations are generally limited to a maximum of 10 minutes. Requests received after the deadline may not be accommodated for the requested meeting date.
Meeting Procedures and Public Notice
Council meetings are conducted in accordance with the Township's Procedural By-law, which establishes the rules governing the calling, conduct, and proceedings of Council and Committee meetings.
The Township's Public Notice Policy outlines how notice of meetings and other municipal matters is provided to the public. These documents support transparency, accountability, and public participation in municipal decision-making.
