Do you want to change a sign, renovate your store or business, organize events in township parks or streets, do work on public land? Make sure you meet the township’s standards and get the necessary permits and authorizations.
Many of our programs and services require you to register or apply to get a license or permit. This helps us to guide you through the process, ensure you follow bylaws and provincial requirements, and helps us protect our community.
Backyard Hens Licence
Prior to purchasing or installing any hens on a residential property, an application must be submitted for review and approval before the licence is issued. Certain criteria must be met before obtaining a licence, and a site plan must be provided.
Building permits
A Building Permit is your formal permission to begin the construction, demolition, addition or renovation on your property. As part of the Building Permit process, Champlain Administration must review your plans to ensure they comply with the Ontario Building Code, local Zoning By-laws and other Applicable Law.
Diaper Grant Program
Champlain Township wants to help new parents! Cloth diapers are affordable, easy to use and environmentally friendly. In an effort to protect the environment, the Township of Champlain offers $200 per year in financial assistance to purchase at least 10 cloth diapers to families living in Champlain.
