Whether you're planning a wedding reception, birthday party, anniversary celebration, community gathering, meeting, workshop, training session, trade show, or other special event, the Township of Champlain offers affordable and versatile rental facilities to suit your needs.

The Township operates two community halls available for rent year-round. The Vankleek Hill Community Hall also offers a licensed bar service, commercial kitchen, and modern audiovisual equipment. For larger events, the arena ice surface may be available for trade shows, exhibitions, and concerts.

Vankleek Hill Community Hall

Address : 36 Mill Street, Vankleek Hill, ON K0B 1R0

Located within the Vankleek Hill Arena, the Community Hall is a spacious and versatile venue suitable for weddings, receptions, banquets, meetings, conferences, training sessions, and community events.

The hall is located on the second floor and is accessible by elevator or stairs through a dedicated entrance.

Tables and Chairs

A variety of tables and chairs are available and included with all rentals:

  • 35 round plastic tables
  • 37 rectangular wooden tables (8 ft)
  • 10 rectangular plastic tables (8 ft)
  • 267 grey plastic chairs
  • 170 yellow and blue plastic chairs

Audio-Visual Equipment

The following equipment is included in the rental fee:

  • Sound system
  • Microphone
  • Projector and screen
  • Televisions
  • Lectern
  • Free public Wi-Fi

Bar Service and Kitchen

The Community Hall may be rented with or without bar service. A selection of local and imported beer, wine, spirits, and coolers is available. Customized beverage selections may be available for larger events.

Please note that personal alcohol is strictly prohibited. When bar service is requested, alcohol may only be served by Township staff.

The facility also includes a commercial kitchen that may be used for food preparation and service at no additional charge.

Chalet-Abri

Address : 772 Front Road West, L'Orignal, ON K0B 1K0

Located in L'Orignal Park, the Chalet-Abri offers a welcoming setting for meetings, community lunches, training sessions, bingo nights, board game gatherings, birthday parties, and small social events.

The following furnishings are included with all rentals:

  • 10 rectangular plastic tables (6 ft)
  • 2 rectangular plastic tables (8 ft)
  • 20 folding chairs
  • 50 yellow and blue plastic chairs

Kitchen and Food Service

The Chalet-Abri includes a kitchen that may be used for food service and event preparation at no additional cost.

Alcohol may be permitted at this facility, subject to approval by the Recreation Department. Approval must be obtained and the rental agreement must be signed before the applicant applies for a Special Occasion Permit (SOP) through the Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario.

Please note that additional insurance requirements may apply for events where alcohol is served. Event organizers are responsible for obtaining all required permits, approvals, and insurance coverage.
