Residents who travel on Highway 417 between County Road 30 and County Road 14 should expect traffic delays and lane restrictions starting on or about August 17, 2026, as the Ministry of Transportation begins a major rehabilitation project on this section of the highway.
Project timeline: August 2026 to November 2027.
What does this mean for you?
- Single lane closures in both eastbound and westbound directions.
- Short-term ramp closures at the following interchanges are expected as part of the project:
- McCrimmon Rd.
- County Rd 34
- Barb Rd.
- Highway 17
- Separate advanced notification of ramp closures will be provided separately prior to taking place.
Residents commuting to Ottawa, travelling to work, or heading to local businesses and services should allow extra time, particularly during peak travel periods.
Specific dates for ramp closures have not yet been announced. Additional notices will be provided before any closures take place. Residents are encouraged to monitor municipal communications and plan ahead when travelling in the area.
