Elections signs are an important part of the democratic process. Residents are reminded not to remove, damage, move, deface or otherwise interfere with election signs without authorization.
The unauthorized removal of elections signs, or the intentional damaging of or tampering with elections signs, may result in charges under the Criminal Code of Canada.
If you believe an elections sign has been placed in an inappropriate location or does not comply with elections sign requirements, please do not remove or relocate the sign yourself. Report your concern to the Township of Champlain Elections' Office. Municipal staff will review the matter and take appropriate action where required.
