Christmas Parade

Celebrate the magic of the holiday season at the annual Champlain Christmas Parade. Residents and visitors of all ages are invited to gather along the parade route to enjoy festive floats, holiday music, lights, and community spirit.

Event Information

Date: Friday, November 27, 2026
Starts at 6:30 p.m.
The parade travels through the streets of Vankleek Hill before ending at École élémentaire catholique Saint-Grégoire.

Parade Route

The parade route begins at the corner of Stanley Street and Home Avenue and continues along Higginson Street, Derby Street, Main Street, and Home Avenue before concluding at École élémentaire catholique Saint-Grégoire.

Register Your Float

Local businesses, community organizations, schools, clubs, and groups are invited to participate by entering a float in the parade.

Registration is completely free. Space is limited, and floats are accepted on a first-come, first-served basis.

Please remember that the Champlain Christmas Parade is a family event designed especially for children and the community. Floats are required to decorate their floats in a festive and creative way that brings holiday joy to spectators of all ages.

Bring your Donation for the Food Bank

Foodland will be collecting non-perishable food items along the parade route in support of the local food bank. Donations of any size are appreciated and help support families in our community during the holiday season.

Letters to Santa

Canada Post representatives will be collecting letters to Santa during the parade. Children are encouraged to bring their letters and send their holiday wishes directly to the North Pole.

 

Parking and Restrooms

Please avoid parking along the parade route. Parking is prohibited on Main Street between Home Avenue and Derby Street during the event to allow for parade operations and public safety.

Public restrooms will be available at the following locations:

  • Champlain Public Library, 94 Main Street
  • École élémentaire catholique Saint-Grégoire, 50 Home Avenue
