Cross Country Skiing

Cross-country skiing is a safe, healthy, and enjoyable way for people of all ages and abilities to stay active during the winter months while exploring the beautiful landscapes of Vankleek Hill and the surrounding area.

Champlain is proud to support Ski Vent Clic, a dedicated community volunteer group that maintains and operates more than 15 kilometres of groomed ski trails.

Whether you're an experienced skier or trying the sport for the first time, Ski Vent Clic offers scenic routes for all skill levels.

Trail Information

Ski Vent Clic maintains more than 15 kilometres of groomed cross-country ski trails in the Vankleek Hill area. Skiers can choose between a longer 13.6-kilometre route and a shorter 10.6-kilometre route, both offering scenic winter landscapes and enjoyable skiing conditions throughout the season.

Convenient parking is available at St-Jude Catholic School and at the Highway 34 trail access point, making it easy to access the trail network from either location.

Skiers' Code of Conduct

  • To help ensure a safe and enjoyable experience for everyone, please follow these trail rules:
  • Obey all posted signs and warnings.
  • Stay off closed trails.
  • Dogs are not permitted on the trails.
  • Walking on ski trails is prohibited.
  • On two-way trails, descending skiers have the right-of-way.
  • Keep to the right when meeting or passing other skiers.
  • Yield the track to faster skiers or skiers calling "Track."
  • Do not litter. Pack out everything you bring in.
  • Respect private property adjacent to the trails.
  • Stay clear of grooming equipment and operators.
  • Ski in control at all times.
  • Report accidents or hazards when possible.
