The Township of Champlain's outdoor rinks provide residents and visitors with a great opportunity to enjoy the winter season. Whether you're looking for a casual skate with family and friends or a friendly game of hockey, our community rinks offer free outdoor recreation throughout the winter months.

Ice Conditions
Outdoor rink conditions can change quickly depending on weather and maintenance activities. Residents are encouraged to check the Township's social media channels for updates before visiting.
Before You Visit
Please note that outdoor rinks are basic recreational facilities and do not include onsite amenities. The outdoor rinks:
- Do not have heated change rooms or rink buildings;
- Do not have shelters or covered areas for putting on skates;
- Do not have public washroom facilities;
- May be temporarily closed due to weather conditions or ice maintenance.
Visitors are encouraged to dress appropriately for winter weather and arrive ready to skate.
Safety Guidelines
To help ensure a safe and enjoyable experience for everyone:
- Follow all posted signs and rink rules;
- Alcohol and cannabis are prohibited on Township property, including outdoor rinks;
- Wear a CSA-approved helmet, especially for children;
- Respect other rink users;
- Keep the ice surface free of litter;
- Stay off the ice when the rink is closed or under maintenance;
- Children should be supervised at all times.
