A Community Hub for Recreation and Events
The Vankleek Hill Arena is a year-round community facility that supports sports, recreation, events, and gatherings in the Township of Champlain.
The arena offers ice time for activities such as hockey, broomball, skating lessons, public skating, and pick-up hockey. The facility is also available for corporate events, conventions, trade shows, receptions, parties, and community activities.
Facility Information
The Vankleek Hill Arena, located at 36, Mill Street, includes:
- Ice surface measuring 193 feet by 85 feet;
- Ice available from September to April;
- Six dressing rooms with washrooms and showers;
- Seating for more than 250 spectators;
- Community hall with a bar, audio-visual equipment, and a commercial kitchen;
- Free parking;
- Canteen open seasonally from October 1 to April 1;
- Accessible washrooms and accessible seating.
Public Skating and Pick-Up Hockey
The Township offers free public skating and pick-up hockey opportunities at the Vankleek Hill Arena. Children 12 years old and under must be accompanied by an adult or guardian at all times. Please view the online schedule before your visit, as dates and times may change.
Home of the Vankleek Hill Cougars
The Vankleek Hill Cougars are part of the National Capital Junior Hockey League and bring exciting Junior C hockey to the community. Residents and visitors are encouraged to support the team and follow their season schedule.


Eastern Prescott Russell Minor Hockey Association
The Eastern Prescott Russell Minor Hockey Association provides local youth with opportunities to develop hockey skills, teamwork, sportsmanship, friendships, and lifelong confidence through organized minor hockey programming.
