The Champlain Library will host a public talk in February focused on navigating today’s increasingly complex media landscape.
Local journalist Philip Oddi will lead a presentation titled: Surviving Misinformation.
With news and information readily available through television, social media, and online platforms, determining which sources can be trusted has become more challenging. The rapid growth of Artificial Intelligence (AI) has added another layer of complexity, making it easier for misleading or false information to spread quickly while appearing credible.
The event will take place at the Creating Centre, located at 11 High Street, in Vankleek Hill.
The event is free and open to the public, though donations are welcome. Seating is limited, and those interested in attending are encouraged to reserve a spot by contacting the library at 613-678-2216 or clicking here.
