Township of Champlain, October 5, 2026 — The Township of Champlain is pleased to announce that Kevin Tessier will resume his duties as the Township’s Chief Administrative Officer (CAO) following a temporary period of absence.
During this period, the Township benefited from the experience of François Turpin, who agreed to serve as Interim Chief Administrative Officer to ensure the continuity of municipal operations and to allow the administration to carry on with its activities and key files without interruption.
From the outset of his interim mandate, Mr. Turpin indicated that he wished to put his experience at the service of the Township, while emphasizing that his role remained strictly temporary.
With Mr. Tessier now available to resume his duties, Council considers this continuity an excellent opportunity for the Township. His knowledge of the organization, staff, ongoing files, and Council priorities will enable an effective and seamless transition.
“Council is very pleased to once again be able to count on Mr. Tessier. Ensuring this continuity in the CAO role is positive for our organization and for the entire community. We also wish to sincerely thank Mr. Turpin for his commitment and for agreeing to support us during this period,” said Mr. Riopel, Mayor of the Township of Champlain.
The Township of Champlain thanks its staff, Municipal Council, and Mr. Turpin for their collaboration during this period and looks forward to continuing its work in service of the community under a CAO leadership that ensures stability and continuity.
