Champlain, July 8, 2025 - The Township of Champlain is seeking proposals from qualified individuals, businesses, or organizations to operate and manage canteen services at the Vankleek Hill Community Centre and Arena, located at 36 Mill Street, Vankleek Hill, Ontario. 

The canteen, located on the main floor of a municipally owned facility, is expected to sell food, beverages, and alcohol (subject to approvals). The Vankleek Hill Community Centre features a regulation-sized ice surface and a large reception hall on the second floor. The facility attracts thousands of weekly visitors during the indoor ice season, driven by a wide range of events including hockey tournaments, special events, and Junior C level home games. The proposed period of the contract will be from September 13th, 2025 until April 15th, 2026, with option to renew the lease for three (3) additional terms. The Township will have the option to extend the agreement yearly thereafter.

Interested and qualified bidders are invited to request a copy of the full Request for Proposal (RFP) documents for Canteen Operator Services (RFP REC-2025-01) by contacting Sydney Collard, Director of Parks and Recreation, via email at sydney.collard@champlain.ca. Only serious inquiries from individuals, businesses or organizations with the capacity and intent to submit a proposal will be considered, and the request for documents must be submitted in writing as indicated.

Proposal submissions must be delivered in a sealed envelope and submitted to the Project Manager prior to the closing date of Friday, August 1st at 12 pm (noon).
