Champlain Township's Clerk’s Office is responsible for receiving nominations for the Conseil scolaire de district catholique de l’Est ontarien exclusively for residents of Champlain township and the Township of East Hawkesbury

Filing Nomination Papers & Required Forms
In order file, the Nomination Form (Form 1) must be completed and filed at the Clerk's office and accompanied by a fee of $200 for the position of mayor and $100 for all other positions. The fee can be paid in cash, debit card payment, by certified cheque or money order payable to the Township of Champlain. Candidates will be required to present identification. Only original forms signed in person by the candidate or through their representative will be accepted.
Nomination papers must be accompanied by 25 endorsement signatures from eligible voters (Form 2). The requirement to submit 25 signatures does not apply to candidates running for School Board Trustee positions.
If the number of certified candidates does not allow all available positions to be filled, nominations will be reopened for the vacant position only, on Wednesday, August 26, 2026, between 9 a.m. and 4 p.m., and such additional nominations, if required, may be filed with the office of the Clerk.
Term of Office
November 15, 2026, to November 14, 2030
Voting day is Monday, October 26, 2026.
